Tag Groups

Ability to create groups / bundles in the tag list. I use tags for several different purposes eg tags for whether it's in a particular library, whether I borrowed or purchased the book, content tags etc. I'd love to separate these out for easier browsing and sorting.
Currently I use prefixes eg "library-sydney-city", "source-purchased", "diversity-asian-author", with the first word indicating the purpose of the tag, then sort alphabetically, but built in tag groups would help a lot!

I would also love this, I was picturing a hierarchy folder type situation, so groups or similar would be amazing for helping me organise them better
I need to improve tagging and their organisation some time this year, especially with the launch of custom charts, and I see tag groups being part of that in some shape or form.
I desperately want tag groups! I think grouped tags would also extend pretty well into the stats page. There can be some generic charts that work for any grouped tags.
I've been thinking recently about how I would like this. I have so many different recommendation tags based on the person I was recommended by, I would like to be able to see all recommendations tagged at a higher level and then filter down to a specific person. Same as where it was borrowed through, diversity types, etc.
I would love to see this! I work in a bookstore so I use tags to keep track of all kinds of things for when customers ask me questions (ex: I have tags for almost every sexuality and gender identity. I’d love to be able to group them under “queer tags”)
This would be super useful, especially since we can only see a few characters of the tags on the tag page in the app/on mobile view. So for example, I can't easily distinguish between "south-africa", "south-america" and "south-asia".
We'll be fixing that view issue!
This would be brilliant! In case it's any help — tag bundles on Pinboard (a bookmarking website that uses them as well) hide the prefix while in bundle view provided that every tag in a given bundle has the same prefix, it's great.
