Track Fan Fiction

Okay. Before people get mad hear me out.

I don't think it should include the authors name, story name, etc. But it would be cool to track that reading with your books.

I envision a static fan fiction book you can to your currently reading list. All you do is add to your page number to this item.

Edit: This would be different from "not a book" because you wouldn't have to type out all the details for each fic

I manually did something like this a couple of years ago! I made a "not a book" and called it "fan fiction" and logged page counts against it. It let me keep logging pages even when I exceeded the "length" of the book that I had input. My biggest challenge with it was that fic is normally listed by word count, not page count, so I had to do a rough estimate conversion to figure out how to log the pages. But still, it did feel nice to be able to track reading at a time that I was reading a ton of fic and not many books.

Have you used the Not A Book feature in the app to track fan fiction as if they are books?

Nadia I really like using this feature to actually track the stories I read with their accurate stats. Thank you so much for creating it!
I'm just wondering if they need a review section because FF authors have said they don't like it when people review their stories like books because it commodifies the fan fiction community.

aftereliza We worked with FF authors to build out our NAB feature. Did you read the "Shipped" comment on the "NAB Status" Roadmap feature linked above to see the note about reviews and ratings?
