it would be nice to be able to add in number of minutes/hours when updating your progress on a book. It could lead to cool stats and help predict how long future books will take to read.

Now that Kobo is partnered with StoryGraph, and Kobo tells you how long it took you to read the book, including pages per minute and even minutes per session— I’d really like to see those stats integrated with StoryGraph! At the moment I’m manually tracking this info in my reading journal entries but it would be nice to see that show up on my stats page.

I will add that the ability to track reading time would also, in addition to seeing how long individual books take, help one see how much reading was done per day/week/month/year. I have a modest goal of reading at least 30 minutes per day. It would be cool to see data that tells me if, averaging over 1 week for example, I am hitting that goal.

I would prefer the ability to enter my time in manually, but I would guess that some users might also like a timer/stopwatch feature.

That would be interesting actually, as while I read more Fiction pages (vs Non-Fiction), the amount of time I spend reading each is probably similar. It would be interesting to see the breakdown.
