Since this is not just a problem on Goodreads but it starts to happen here on TheStoryGraph I would like to share my wish to withhold reviews of a book before they are even published. I know that ARCs (Advanced Reader Copies) are given to readers in exchange for an early review and that in this case one would have to think about a way for this to still be possible while reducing the amount of reviews given just because someone is excited for a book. These reviews in particular make a rating for a book untrustworthy.
