Default format doesn't work

I have my default format set to digital in my preferences, but whenever I look up a new book, it's always the hardcover.

That field isn't used for search results yet. There's text underneath the field explaining that it's for stats only as it was launched alongside the launch of the format chart! It will eventually be used for search results and I'm merging this into the related post!
