TBR list not removing books when read

I have tried searching to see if anyone has listed this problem, but I couldn’t find anything here or with google.
So, I have noticed that several books that I have on my TBR list did not remove themselves when the book was read. The only thing that I have noticed is the edition I added vs the actual edition that I read and I can’t delete as it states that all my information on the book will be removed.
Can you please advise if this is an error or if it something that I can fix. It is driving me crazy.

Are you marking a completely different edition as "read" to the one one your TBR? If so, and this is happening regularly, how are you choosing which edition to mark as "read"?
I'm assuming you're not changing the "to-read" dropdown to "read"? Alternatively, you can click to view different editions and then click "switch to this edition", before marking the new edition as "read".
I'm imagining you are browsing the editions page and then choosing an edition to mark as "read"? If so, you're safe to hit "Remove book" on the edition that's marked as "to read" as the only data against that book is the fact that you've marked it as "to-read".
Please confirm that this is what is happening!
