Thank you for this feature! I'm so happy and I'm moving a bunch of challenges to book specific ones.
Is it too early to start asking about enhancements to the feature? I just can't get enough, I'm sorry.

So, it would be really useful to see what kind of book challenge it is when searching for challenges. We already have the information about "91 prompts | 72 participants | 92 books added" maybe it could be added here.

I know this is 0 priority, I just wanted to share my thoughts. Thank you so much!

martafvduarte Ha. You can ask for improvements whenever you want. I won't be touching this until later on in the year!

martafvduarte I love this feature aswell and in the same vein with 0 rush, it would be helpful to see how many books are needed for the challenge to be complete in the numerical type when you're in the challenge. Right now I can only find this info when browsing challenges, not when I click on a specific one.

I've been exploring this non-stop so I have something else to add: It looks like the book cover and name that show on the prompt are the ones for the specific edition added. It would be awesome if the prompt could assume the book edition I've read. When I'm joining a challenge created by someone else, the cover on the prompt sometimes is not the edition I've read, it gets marked as complete and that's the most important part, but sometimes I don't immediately recognise the book because I've read a different edition.
Thank you Nadia for keeping this open conversation with us users. It's the best! Please don't feel pressure to tackle this small things, they are not important and we can wait.

martafvduarte I considered this when doing the feature but decided to leave it as the host's edition, so they can curate how they want the challenge page to look, especially if it's say a listening challenge, or a cover/edition/format challenge. I might change this, but I also might just make it such that when you click it takes you to your edition instead? How does that sound?

Nadia For the books I've read, I'd prefer to see the edition I've read on the challenge. I'm using it mostly to track book clubs and prize lists (ex. Reese Whiterspoon book club or Women's prize for fiction winners) and in this situation I don't care much about the edition the host added when creating a challenge since I'm using it as my own list to check. I also read both in English and in Portuguese, and that makes that the difference between editions sometimes is not just about the cover.
But, this is how I've been using it, I'm sure there are plenty of use cases that would make one prefer the other way around.

Since my last update, there were more infrastructure issues and there were more bits and pieces to take care of so to be safe going to say rough ETA is now end of the month!

Nadia Is there any update on the ETA for this? I'm 40% through the 36 nonfiction books I plan to read this year, am hoping it might go live before I finish the rest.

Sorry everyone. I wanted this out on January 1st but, as you may have noticed, we've had a lot of server issues over the last few days, which has taken up all of my time. Hopefully there are no further issues and the goal is to have this out this week. Hoping that those of y'all waiting to set up 2024 challenges in this style can hang on for a few days more. Thank you for your patience!

This would be so useful... then I could use storygraph to properly track my reading goals.

Love this. I'm doing a few challenges now that would benefit from this. Much easier than having to add each book to a separate prompt individually!
