it would be nice to comment on a reading update of a book friend we are following and can see on the community page

I agree, one of the things I miss from Goodreads is the ability to comment on friends reading posts. I hope this is reconsidered. I won’t be able to cut off goodreads completely unless this feature exists. Bummer it’s not being considered.

Oh that's too bad, I love squealing over my favorite books with my friends. I can see the benefit of that tho overall - is there a way to have a community/discussion around a book on the book page instead? More like a forum/book group discussion than social media?
