I've had the misfortune of not realizing my favorite authors have new books out. I haven't used Goodreads in years, but I believe they have a feature to notify you of upcoming books from authors. If there's a way to integrate that with The StoryGraph, which I'm guessing would require a "follow author" feature first, that would be useful.
