Hey, it would be amazing to be able to have custom reading status for books. On Goodreads, I had a shelf called "looking for", as I used "to read" only for purchased books on my to-read pile. What do you think?

if you mark your books as owned you can easily filter them. you can also create a tag called "owned tbr" if you like. that's what I do
