TBR Add Date vs First Read Date chart

One of the things I'm loosely trying to tag in my data this year is when I added a book to my TBR vs when I'm actually reading it. There's some guesswork involved here since it isn't visible in the UI. But it made me think that a chart similar to the all-time publication vs year read chart might be cool. Plotting "date added to TBR" against "date of first read" would be a neat way of visualizing how long books stay on your TBR or how much you favor new-to-you books.

I would love to at least see when I added a book to my tbr, because I only count books I've added the previous year (or earlier) for my tbr challenge.
imaginary_space This is the post for you: https://roadmap.thestorygraph.com/requests-ideas/posts/specific-date-added-for-tbr-books
Nadia Thank you!
Oh that's fun too!
Do you know the tool YNAB and its "age of money" stat, where it's essentially how long a "dollar" lasts in your account before it's spent? We could also show an "age of TBR" alongside a chart like this.
I feel like I've suggested this idea before so wouldn't be surprised to find it elsewhere on the roadmap.
Nadia Ooh I love that idea!! 🤩
Nadia That would be really fantastic! Ever since I joined Storygraph, I've been noticing books I added to goodreads in High School and haven't been inclined to read in over a decade.
Nadia STOP I’m obsessed with your YNAB reference. Makes total sense!
I 🤍 YNAB.
silvfere Hehe. Yay!!
