TBR - share/export tagged list | Requests/Ideas

I would love to be able to send a list to someone.
I’ve encouraged a few people to sign up with The StoryGraph but they’re slow to adopt new apps/tech. They also look to me for book suggestions (that I send but get buried/forgotten).

I created a tag for books I’d recommend for one person in particular. I’d love to send her that list. Then she could add them all to her TBR without having to type each book title in the search box. What a great starting point for new users without feeling overwhelmed with a blank slate.

I suspect this is niche but wanted to throw out there anyhow, just in case. Gracias :)

Hello! Do you know how to send a list to someone even if they don't have a TSG account?

Eventually users will be able to save/follow a list.

Nadia Thank you so much for your reply! I don’t, but unfortunately that doesn’t help in this situation; I need a way to ingest the titles into someone’s TBR without typing each title into the search box.

Being able to save/follow a list created for a specific user/friend could satisfy that. I’ll keep watch for it, thank you!

In the meantime, one friend has shared her log in info with me so I can manually search and change each title’s status ‘To Read’ via the drop down box. It’s time consuming but, at least for now, I will do it because I want to keep her excited to read and excited to use The StoryGraph — I got her using the app a little & reading consistently again by hosting Buddy Reads 🙏🏻♥️

I have no doubt once I add the ~60 books to her TBR, she’ll start using the app’s recommended feature (and more) intuitively on her own. Thanks again!!!

_jennifer Yes, I knew what you were asking for! I'm just checking that you knew about the above as well and hinting that maybe the save/follow feature would allow for adding all the books to your library. 😁
